Well I guess you can I made a great choice of a game to watch. That was one of the best games I've ever watched, I'm glad they Tampa Bay Rays now finally have a no-hitter under their belt. It sucks to now that if he didnt walk that one guy in like the 3rd, we would be talking about a perfect game today. But the important thing is that Matt garza throws the no-no and gets the win.

I know I have alot of topps chrome cards. I thought that I just really liked the whole chromy aspect of it. But once I caught my self buying a black bordered kenji johjima chrome card, I knew I had a problem. I've also narrowed it down to 2006 the main year I collect chrome from. Bowman Chrome?

Don't get me wrong I love Bowman Chrome, but the 200$ price tag is truly ridiculos, considering every possible good strasburg has been pulled (1/1 red strasburg)and countless /250. I am Joe Collecter made a good point that Allen & Ginter & Bowman won't get back to normal pricing for another 6 months!! These crazy prices need to stop & I feel bad for any poor sap who bought bowman expecting a Strasburg and failing.

Well I've been thinking that I need to make another free contest, to make up for the last one I made way back when. I think that maybe I'll buy an allen & ginter box and the 1st place winner will get that and the 2nd and 3rd will get and autograph. The only problem is I don't know how many people actually pay attention to this blog anymore so I'm not sure if you guys want to do that. But if you have any ideas on how to go about this contest just make a comment on this post telling me what I should do or if I should change the prizes or not. Hopefully you guys will come out of your caves and humor me with this contest.

Allen & Ginter Obsession?

Always when its this time of year I wonder why we are all so obsessed with Allen & Ginter. Most years we get essentially the same set as the last yet so many people purchases cases of Ginter. Don't get me wrong I love Ginter, but I can't help to wonder why if its usually the same stuff (or very similar) every year. My only explanation is the resale value of the hits, but on the other hand many hits are very cheap (the many many jersey cards). Another reason maybe the red ink autographs or the non-baseball players autographs (which also is criticized by many). I may never know the answer, but I do know I will definitely be buying a box in three days.

So Apparently our other Admin didn't come through and offer his support on this blog so we are parting ways. I assumed he was maintaining the blog, but fear not as I will be keeping up with the blog as of now. I'm coming back to collecting after about 10 months so I will be a little rusty, I'm trying to sell off most of my collection to make room for some new stuff. Im selling my longoria/soto (ebay) 1/25 dual auto (pictured above) and my matthew stafford chrome auto. Anybody can feel free to make an offer on anything thats not on ebay btw my ebay account is barginbaby2009 (I didnt make it).

Yes! After about 1 month I'm back in NY!! I loved Florida but, I gotta say NY your so much better. Well since I didn't have internet (most of the trip) I just now find out that Topps signed a deal... then UD signed. So thats all I know if any body knows anything else (about anything!) Well this one was better in a different way. I got a Longoria Relic , Jered Weaver Relic, and Drum Roll Please A framed RED auto of Miguel Cabrera /10 (Only problem is it was a REDEMPTION) Guess what the estimated delivery time is...you'll never get it. October 31ST WTF!?!?! 3 freakin months ??!?! COME ON!! Sorry for the rantI guess this card is an early b-day gift

The A.L. wins Again!!

Well, as expected the A.L. wins, again. This is very bittersweet this year though upperdeck was going to give out free packs if the N.L. won but, I'm a rays fan so that also made a difference. I was happy Carl Craford won the M.V.P. he definately deserved it with that nice catch. Did anyone else notice the first pitch was unseen ? I had to watch it on Espn. So before I end this post I'd like to wish the N.L. better luck next year it must suck losing all the time.

All Star Game

The All Star game is in a few days and the votes are winding down and I have found one snub. There is one person who is going to be robbed of a well deserved All Star appearence, and that person is Ben Zobrist. Yes yes I know this is a little far fetched, but hear me out.

Reason 1
Ben Zobrist was forced to move out of his natural position of second base to play shortstop.
Reason 2
He has a better average, only three homeruns less than Ian Kinsler, and only 7 RBI'S behind with 70 less AB's.
Reason 3
He's a Tampa Bay Ray enough said.

Well its that time of year again, Triple Threads is on the verge of being released. Here are some samples of how lucky we are going to be with this set.Sorry about the quality on the photos but, obviously these are some nice cards. Aside from that extremely nice Ruth/Gehrig autograpgh there is a Ruth auto/relic 1/1. The thought on everyones mind is "How much is this gonna cost me?" Well we aren't sure yet, but we are looking at 100-130 a pack. So aside from the price this set is nice.
